Douglaston Manor Association

Colorful canoes rest on their rack overlooking the Long Island Sound at the historic Douglaston Manor Association. Photographed during magic hour, the soft evening light blends the shapes of the boats with the calm atmosphere of the water and shoreline.

Captured on medium-format film with a Holga camera, the image carries the distinctive character of analog photography:  subtle softness, gentle light falloff, and an atmospheric sense of place.

This photograph is offered as a 16×20 chromogenic darkroom print made from the original Holga negative. Each print is hand-enlarged and produced on Fujicolor Crystal Archive photographic paper.

The finished print includes the artist’s signature, a high-resolution digital scan of the image, and a simple 16×20 glass frame.
