Chelsea Street Art

A black and white infrared film scan made from an original Holga negative.

This image won first place in the monthly Street Art challenge on Etejo.  It is a dense, layered city photograph, with architecture, street markings, shadows, and reflected forms folding into one another.  The infrared black and white treatment gives the scene a strange, almost x-ray quality, somewhere between street photography and abstraction.

This piece is part of my Small Works series:  photographs released as digital files only.  It is unlikely to become a hand-printed darkroom edition, but it still deserves to live outside the archive.
